Outside The Camp was born from a simple and profound passion: sharing the wild beauty of the Belgian Ardennes. It all started with weekend bivouacs among friends, where the essentials fit in a backpack. We quickly realized that advice for lightweight and responsible hiking was lacking.
In 2018, we mapped our first detailed route and published a guide on minimalist gear. The "Leave No Trace" philosophy became our backbone. Our community of trekking enthusiasts grew, guided by the same desire for an authentic connection with nature, without weighing it down.
